If you are having problems receiving or sending email, you need to go through a series of steps to determine exactly where the problem exist.

Step 1: Testing Web Mail

Doing the first test using web mail will let you know if you have the correct password and if your email address testemail@yourdomainname.com is set up correctly.

    Check Logon and Password

  1. Go to the internet access to your email. If your web hosting is with A Safer Company then go to http:yourdomainname.com/webmail/. Note: you must have your userid and password.
  2. If you can get to your email through the internet access, then your email is working but you may not be receiving it through Outlook.
  3. Test Sending Email

  4. Try to send an email from testemail@yourdomainname.com to another email address. It is easiest to use an email address that you can quickly see the email. For example: if you are testing a business email address, then send your test email to a personal email address.
  5. After you verify that the test email was received, you know your send email is working correctly.
